Експозицията включва живописни произведения и обекти, които разглеждат темата за социализма и демокрацията през погледа на младия човек, роден и израснал в периода на прехода. Според анонса изложбата прави опит да отговори на един от най-съществените въпроси за културата ни по времето на комунистическия режим - свободата.

Трите десетилетия на преход са достатъчни за рекапитулация на този период и сравнение между плюсовете и минусите на епохата преди 1989 г. (социализма или т.нар. "соц"), - и предимствата и недостатъците на прехода, който условно може да определим като "времето на демокрацията". Такава рекапитулация е необходима, защото няма как да оценим плодовете на демокрацията, ако не я сравним с предшестващия 45-годишен период.

Ивелина Момчева (р. 1988 г.) е новоизгряваща художничка, базирана в София. В творчеството си тя поставя като водещ акцент теми със социална значимост: идентичност, ценности, консуматорство, екология. Определя себе си като бунтарка.
Живяла е в Англия и Обединените арабски емирства, което обогатява нейния мироглед на творец по специфичен начин и й дава възможност за обмен със значими имена от съвременното изкуство и световната артсцена. Завръща се в България, за да сподели опита, който получава от своите артистични посоки.

- Мотивира ме свободата, която дава изкуството. Възможността да докоснеш хората и техния вътрешен свят чрез въздействието на дадена творба.
Всичко започва от душата! Това е моята мотивация - да докосна човечността за един още по-добър свят. Началото беше, когато бях малка - в четвърти клас, и оттогава до днес следвам този път!

- Тук няма избор - има съдба! Той сам ме намери.
Целият живот е низ от знаци, ние само трябва да се научим, да ги разчитаме.

- Нямам желание да вляза в точно определена норма, стил, рамка или модел на подражание. Винаги съм избягвала този модел (от малка съм бунтар).
За мен артистът е извор на индивидуално творческо вдъхновение.

В интерес на истината чрез социалните мрежи мога да се докосна до различни световни и новоизгряващи артисти, но следвам хора, които чрез творчеството си засягат социални теми и по този начин помагат на обществата.
Фен съм на Банкси (за мен той е гений), изпитвам огромен респект към хората, които имат свободата да изразят своята гледна точка за заобикалящия ни свят.
Там където първо се обръщаме към душевните ценности, мислите са насочени към другите, а не егоистично към себе си единствено. Това е днешната борба за съхранение!

- Ако погледнем масово, в световен мащаб, някак с всяка изминала година ценностите се размиват.
Ставаме като едно бурно и яростно море, помитаме всичко без всякакви скрупули. За мен масово хората се превръщат в егоистични същества, загърбват се семейните ценности.
Живеем във виртуален свят, забравяме да погледнем навън, да съзрем величието, което ни заобикаля, близките ни хора, традициите, изградени през вековете. За сметка на това новите ценности са материалистични, повърхностни... и така "бурното море" ни отнема душевността... Това е днешната борба - как да съхраниш себе!
Изгубихме с демокрацията ценностната система на обществото ни и я заместихме с виртуална, показно-изкуствена реалност!
