Вече заемаме стотното място в класацията по индекс на свобода на словото на "Репортери без граници"
България запазва тенденцията да губи места в класацията по свобода на словото в световен мащаб. Докато през 2011-2012 г. заемахме 80-то място, през 2013 г. - 87-о място, сега страната ни вече заема 100-то място, като по този начин изпада вече във втората половина на класацията на "Репортери без граници", включваща общо 180 държави.
Така пред нас по индекс на свобода на словото се нареждат държави като Кувейт, Кения, Косово, Сиера Леоне, Ботсвана и Тринидат и Тобаго.
Първи и последни в класацията
В челото на класацията е Финландия, а първата петица се допълва още от Холандия, Норвегия, Люксембург и Андора. В дъното са Сомалия, Сирия, Туркмения, Северна Корея и последната Еритрея.
Почти всички държави от бившия комунистически блок в Централна и Източна Европа са далеч пред нас. При съседите ни пък класацията е следната: Румъния е 45-та, Сърбия – 54, Хърватия - 65, Босна - 66, Албания - 85, Гърция - 99, Македония - 123, Турция – 154-та.

Проблеми пред свободата на словото
В доклада се посочва отрицателното въздействие на конфликтите върху свободата на словото. В немалко държави факторът национална сигурност се тълкува прекалено широко и в ущърб на правото за информираност.
