Какво се случва, когато искаш да си наемеш хубав апартамент на прилична цена, но не намираш такъв? Пред такъв проблем е бил изправен фотографът Жереми Бухолц, който желаел да си купи апартамент в Бордо, Франция.
Търсенията му обаче не го отвели до нито една прилична (според него) оферта. Жереми, който е фотограф по професия и разделя времето си между Париж и Бордо, имал ограничен бюджет, а това, на което попадал за парите, които има, било неудовлетворително. Така той попаднал на обявата за продажба на гараж.
Всъщност ставало въпрос за голям, изоставен гараж, с метална врата, която скрива всичката светлина, и натъпкан с боклуци. След съвет от приятел - архитекта Матио ди Мариен, който разпознал в улицата много история, а в гаража - потенциал за нещо много добро.
Така Бухолц купил гаража, а ди Мариен направил план за реновирането му и превръщането му в прекрасен апартамент. Това, което се получава накрая е повече от перфектно.
